Salmon Pieces In A Creamy Sauce With SpaghettiI used to make this recipe so often that in the end I had to stop making it for a while as it was becoming a bit samey and I needed to make other foods!  It’s one of our favourite recipes.  If you get the salmon and cream sauce consistency right it’s sublime – and so easily to make!

Salmon Pieces In A Creamy Sauce With Spaghetti
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: 4
  • Enough spaghetti for 4 people
  • One packet of good quality salmon pieces - enough for 4 people
  • One 300ml tub of single cream
  • Half teaspoonful Cayenne pepper
  • Half teaspoonful dried parsley
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Cut up strips of salmon pieces into tiny chunks.
  2. Pour about half of the tub of cream into a saucepan and gently bring up to simmering point.
  3. Add the chopped salmon pieces and stir into the cream.
  4. Add the dried parsley, and fresh parsley, stir and leave to gently simmer. You don’t want a runny consistency, you want some of the cream to evaporate so that the sauce thickens up.
  5. Taste the salmon sauce and adjust the seasoning. You may want to thicken it slightly by allowing the cream to evaporate a little more or add some more cream (if too thick), pepper, parsley or lemon juice to taste.
  6. Boil the spaghetti according to the instructions on the packet.
  7. Drain the spaghetti and stir in the salmon sauce.
  8. Serve with Doe’s Salad.
